‘TCF 2nd Annual Gala Event’

Fundraising Dinner

The Michigan Chapter of The Citizens Foundation USA (TCF) hosted a successful Second Annual Gala on Saturday, a date which was recognized worldwide asInternational Malala Day. Thanks to its generous contributors, TCF-Michigan raised close to $400,000 which, In accordance with TCF-USA’s mission of improving educational opportunities forunderprivileged Pakistani children, will be used to build a brand new school inPakistan that will be named in 15-year old Malala Yousafzai’s honor.

Malala’s courage in fighting for the right to a proper education became worldrenowned after a despicable and cowardly attack by the Taliban left her incritical condition. Malala not only survived but is growing ever stronger, andTCF-Michigan is proud to play a part in realizing her dream of education reform,gender equality, and better opportunities for all Pakistani children.
